SELEMIX® DIRECT PRO PLATFORM COMPLETES THE FINISHES OFFER WITH MATT AND SEMI MATT BINDERS
SELEMIX®, the leading brand for light industrial coatings (LIC) from PPG, has completed the launch of the 7-15X Direct Pro range, adding Semi Matt and Matt topcoats to the formerly launched High Gloss, Semi Gloss and Satin binders - providing industrial manufacturers and job coaters the opportunity to deliver a high quality and durable finish.
Direct Pro sets a new milestone in the brand’s established leadership in innovative direct-to-metal solutions, complementing the for more than a decade successful 7-53X range.
Direct Pro enables direct application to a vast variety of substrates without the need for a primer, delivering increased productivity and corrosion resistance - as well as significant material, time, and energy savings across a wide range of industrial applications.
7-15X is low in solvent emissions, helping all Selemix customers achieve their sustainability targets. 7-159, 7-157/ -158 and 7-155/-156 have also been tested to the ISO 12944-6: 2018 norm and have been certified with up to C5M, depending on the film thickness.

In the first year of implementation since launch, customers through EMEA have tried and adapted the new Direct Pro platform to their paint projects.
In Spain, José Antonio García, Specialist Distributor in LIC, and Miguel Ángel Reina, Project Manager at Aralia Dinamyc, applied the new binders to different substrates and objects, using several industrial application processes.
“Being a direct to substrate, I have been intrigued by its high gloss,” explained Miguel Ángel. “As a specialised distributor, having a product with these characteristics offers a lot of business opportunities to me,” said José.
With the Direct Pro direct-to-metal platform now complete, and all gloss levels available, industrial customers will soon benefit from being able to use the full, impressive platform.

The successful launch of the Direct Pro platform goes hand in hand with PPG further investing in the Selemix brand.
